June 2023: Summer Solstice

Not so long ago, the Earth’s rhythms and the cyclical nature of the seasons were utterly important to humans, and so we celebrated the summer solstice with gratitude for light, warmth, renewal and growth. In modern times we tend to take these things for granted, and often overlook this seasonal opportunity for giving thanks for everything good in our lives.

This Assembly we are celebrating the Summer Solstice and expressing our gratitude! Kevin will be our host, leading us through a gratitude ritual, Miranda is giving a Doing Your Best talk, Richard will be reading the Life Happens updates that you want to share with us, and of course, we’ll have singalongs with our band!

Join us for an uplifting celebration at this month's Assembly!

We'll be singing

  • Walking on Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves
  • Say Something + Secret Song - Great Big World & ?
  • River Deep, Mountain High - Tina Turner
  • I'm Coming Out - Diana Ross

When? Sunday, 11th June. We will have coffee and tea at 10:30 am, celebration at 11:00 am, and outdoor potluck from noon to 1:00 pm. Last month's lunch was fun, so please bring a dish to share and stick around to chat with friends and meet newcomers!
